Review by Blankman:
Megaman X4 eh.. Sure brings back fond memories from my childhood, being the first game i cleared when i’m 5 years old.. *reminiscing…* but enough crap about my childhood, let’s get the review going!
I’ll be direct this time.. This is a basic shot-n-dash type of side scrolling.. You bust through 8 level and beat down 8 bosses, acquiring their power along the way till you beat the big boss.. Too simple? How about adding some good story, helluva good graphics, upgradeable armour for X, the difficult but satisfying difficulty, and a boss with a form of a humanoid dragon, but he could do Ryu’s Hadouken and Shouryuken? Badass right?! And that’s not all the fun you’ll found while playing Megaman X4.. First timers and veterans will both found this game really satisfying..
Need some number after those short explanation to decide? Here you have you it number addicts!
Graphics: 8.5 (Huge improvement from the earlier series.. Could awe me 16 years ago, and it still does today. [that or i’m just a lover of classic things.. :p])
Gameplay: 7 ( basic side scrolling and shooting, but it’s good. Many of power ups you could find while replaying maps after you get certain weapons)
Now, let’s jump back in time and play this good little thing again! ~/o/
